One of The French classic and elegant hors d’oeuvre that has enjoyed popularity for years long is Chicken liver pâté. It is luxurious enough to make the table for your festive feasts but is also easy to throw together for breakfast or lunch all year round (my brother loves to have it as a supper). Did I mention it’s dangerously delicious too? Cooked down with shallots, fresh herbs and sherry, the liver transforms into an umami-rich spread and will have even those hesitant about liver reaching for more. My mom loves liver-pate; it was rich, complex and luxurious, and served in a cute little jar. I couldn’t think of a better appetizer to make at home for a party, especially when I learned that with well sealing jar can the pâté fresh for up to two weeks.
